Note: This article ( named Defining Source Data Structures from a SQL Server database ) was taken from www.in-oracle.com.
Note: I have used Oracle Warehouse Builder 11.2.0.1
Start the Design Center Start button -> All Programs -> Oracle 11g Installation (Name) -> Warehouse Builder -> Design Center
Note: You must have the
Oracle Heterogeneous
Services configured. Right click on ODBC (under databases).
Click on "Next".
Choose a name for the SQLServer database module, the role of the module and a description. The description is not mandatory.
Click on "Next".
Click on "Edit". Choose the right values for User Name, Password, Host, Port, Service Name, SQL Server Schema.
Click on "OK", then click on "Next".
Click on "Finish".
Right click on the SQLServer module (under ODBC) and choose "Validate".
You must receive no errors.
Note: When a module is created no objects (tables, views, sequences) are related to this module:
Now you must import the SQL Server data structures in order to create the OWB design.
